Impermanence…

Today, we officially have 25 hours a day!!! Good news to me, since I have additional hour to sleep and do my assignment which dues tomorrow! (FYI, I only have done it 50% hehehe… still have a couple of hours to finish…. *telling to myself: Im gonna be fine!*)

Weird, today’s weather is soooo chilly. I could hardly see the sun. But, I take it as a good news, since we are now having autumn season, so it is reasonable to have breezy and brisk wind blows. I think, now the weather turns awry. My friend in Germany told me that he still has snow there!!! Hmm…

Well, Sydney comes with an idea to ’save’ energy for an hour on coming Saturday. At 7.30pm to 8.30 pm, we are suggested to switch off the lights. I think its a good idea and experience. Never have such experience to see your area/town black out. And, I just hope that the weather would be clear on the night, so it would give me a chance to glance to the sky and observe the bright stars….

This morning, I was awaken by some guys fighting outside. They yelled out and threw something (bottles, perhaps?). One guy sounded hurt… perhaps the other person have done something unforgivable to him…. *sigh* Conflicts are everywhere!

I just figured out that I was extra-charged on my mobile plan. Im currently under 29.90 plan, which allows me to have $170 credit. I dont know if I have overused the limit, I would be charged as much as the amount I used. Geez!!! I was suffocated (exaggeration here!) when I saw my account’s transaction summary. I have additional 150 bucks payment to the provider!!! Crap!!! It aint cheap!!! And another 50 bucks are on its way….. *sigh* Now, I consider to switch provider. Would call my current one tomorrow abt it….

Today had a talk on Gratitude. It’s an inspiring one. The talker for today was Phra Mana (forgive my spelling if I do it wrongly), he is the patron of Sunnataram Monastery. Well, he is the favorite of UNIBUDS, if I can say (he is act MY favorite hehe). According to him, gratitude can be defined as a remembrance of good deeds of others. Gratitude can give you happiness, strength, and eventually enlightenment. Well, for myself, I can use it to practise my loving kindness. By reminding myself about others’ good actions or deeds towards myself, I may find it easier to forgive the person’s mistakes and keep a smile in my heart despite his/her annoyment. And I do believe that by the end of the day I would be happy always (as having no grudges in my heart)

Thinking about it, I guess I havent done much to my parents. I will try to keep reminding myself to pay gratitude towards them. They are the best persons in my life, they were the one who raised me up, who nurtured me with love from the start of my journey. Their kindness, I reckon, is hard to repay. But sadly, my culture doesnt allow me to be affectionate. I mean, its not my habit to be affectionate to my parents… hohoho… so its hardly to see me hugging them, leave alone kissing =P But anyway, I’m learning to love them unconditionally.

Okay, now I like Ugly Betty’s theme song: a song sung by Jason Mraz (titled The Beauty in The Ugly). The lyrics indeed does suit the story. Anyway, talking about Ugly Betty, I guess people are attracted to it because of her ‘inferiority’ (i.e. her appearance). People tend to be sympathetic to the ‘underdogs’ I guess, and in my opinion, it is because by feeling so it makes people, at least, feel more superior. They feel more in control or more powerful in some extent, and in the end, they would feel proud of themselves, and in turn, they nurture their ego. Yet, there is a genuine sympathy, which is pure in nature, and can feel emphatic too….
Aiya, guess Im making less sense here… hahaha my brain calls for some rest~~
