Bodhinite 2007

Dear my friends,

The nature of things is impermanent, nothing would stay the same forever! For simple example is the weather: today might be raining, but after the rain the sun rises. So, nothing would be for FOREVER. If you look within, your mind would be the same too! It keeps changing! From happy, sad, neutral, angry, upset, grumpy, judging, etc. Keep watching your mind and you would see that it would move from one state to another. One second you would feel good, but as seconds pass by, you might feel bad. Having realised this, it would be more prudent if we let go of the clinging to things since they would change. Letting go of them would make us be more peaceful and happy.

Ask yourself, what is your purpose in life? Is life about pursuing ‘material’ happiness? Or is it about living happily? If you think that material possessions can make you happy, then look at the wealthy! How many of them are contented? How many of them have peace at their hearts? I reckon, the more you reach out for material possessions, the more you feel unhappy. Worry would be your second friend.

Then how are can we be happy??? How can we let go and feel peaceful at the same time?

Well, find it out on Bodhinite 2007, 25th August @ 6-10 pm.
